What to expect

After breakfast our driver will collect you and head off on a 2-3 hour drive, taking in Tanzania’s rugged scenery, to Lake Manyara National park. Well known for its huge elephant population and ancient baobab trees, the park has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world! After a morning game drive spotting the wonderful wildlife, you will stop for a fresh and tasty lunch with cold drinks provided by our team. In the afternoon you’ll embark on the second leg of the game drive. Keep an eye out for the incredible bird life and see if you can spot the lions showing off their tree climbing skills as they relax amongst the branches.

Lake Manyara National Park is one of Africa’s little-known gems with a staggering 30,000 zebra, 25,000 wildebeest, 5,000 buffalo, 3,000 elephants, 2,500 giraffes and over 1,000 fringe-eared oryx (gemsbok). So, you’re guaranteed to see some of Tanzania's natural wonders! The park is also home to impressive predators including lions, cheetah and leopards, and bird-lovers will want to look out for the beautiful ashy starling, rufous-tailed weaver and black-collared lovebird. After a day of wildlife spotting the tour ends in Arusha town at around 5pm, perfect timing to grab some dinner and look back at your safari snaps!
